Dr. Kiran Kancharla, M.D.

“Personal relationships are at the heart of what is important to me in cancer care. What I offer my patients goes beyond the medicine and technology that I provide, although that’s obviously important. Ultimately, however, it’s about the trust that I build with my patients that really defines this relationship that is built on mutual respect and a shared goal of healing.”~ Dr. Kiran Kancharla

Board-certified in oncology, hematology, and internal medicine, Dr. Kiran Kancharla began her career in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India where she earned her medical degree from Osmania Medical College. Following this, Dr. Kancharla moved to the U.S. where she completed her residency and fellowship at Chicago’s Loyola University.

Today, Dr. Kancharla sees her patients at Lewisville/Flower Mound Oncology Group, as well as Southlake Oncology and Las Colinas Cancer Center. She is experienced in treating a wide variety of malignancies and specializes in lung, breast, and gastrointestinal cancers, as well as lymphomas.

Most important to Dr. Kancharla is the manner in which she treats her patients. She believes wholeheartedly in working closely with her patients and their families on a very personal level. This commitment to personalized care stems from her own experience with cancer when her father was diagnosed with lymphoma at 42 years of age. Having gone through the experience as a family member, Dr. Kancharla understands how a cancer diagnosis affects a whole family and she believes in creating an open dialogue with families and making herself as accessible as possible to answer questions or to just offer support.

Dr. Kancharla, her husband, and their two children enjoy an active life as a part of the Indian community and spend time together traveling, cooking, and listening to music.
